DESIGNERS VS. DEVELOPERS

DESIGNERS VS. DEVELOPERS

(Developers on the left column, Designers on the right) Last week I had a discovery call with a potential client who had gone through two rounds of website building with other professionals, and still felt like she couldn't use what she had. When we dove deeper into the web design processes that she'd been through, we realized that she had hired two developers, not designers.

While both are incredibly important to the design & building process, there is a distinct difference that can have affects on the outcome of your project. (disclaimer: this is not saying that all designers can't develop, or that all developers can't design, we’re just encouraging you to ask more questions about the process so that all of your needs are met.) ⁣

Statistically & by definition, Developers are usually more of the tech-savvy experts, fluent in coding languages, and able to take a design, and make it functional - while Designers are usually the ones with a visual background who can not only create a pretty website design for you, but also translate all of your brand strategy into a website that converts. TOGETHER they make an unstoppable team, able to bring your dream website to life, and build you a solid foundation for your business to thrive.

Here at RISE, we're incredibly grateful for the developers that we partner with to fill in the gaps that our immediate team can't. While I'm able to completely code a Squarespace site, in-depth Shopify & Wordpress sites are a whole different language to me, and give me the opportunity to bring in some incredible developers to bring our designs to life for our clients!
